Our commitment to sustainability in the widest sense was again rewarded by receiving the Platinum medal from Ecovadis. This certification is the result of our efforts in the various areas of our company to generate value through our activity.
The environment, work practises, ethics or sustainable procurement are currently key factors in business development. Increasingly more companies are joining a global challenge that requires higher performance in these areas, and this can only be reached if we all push in the same direction. At Plásticos Vanguardia we are aware of this, and this is why we continuously work to improve our sustainability practises and to increase transparency in our processes.
With this goal in mind, we have had our performance evaluated for the last 5 years through the Ecovadis platform, which provides us with our sustainability rating, as well as the points for improvement that we must focus on. Thanks to the work of a fully committed team, in 2022 we received the Platinum rating, which is only achieved by 1% of the companies that undergo this audit.
About EcoVadis
Ecovadis is a classification platform that provides sustainability assessments by analysing and then evaluating several sustainability criteria within the company. To do this it analyses the company’s policies, actions, turnover, etc.
It awards a global score that ranges from 0 to 100. Depending on this score, the values of which are increasingly demanding, the company receives either a bronze medal (score from 47 to 55), silver medal (score from 55 to 66), gold medal (score from 67 to 74) or platinum medal (score from 75 to 100).
