Our strategy
At Plásticos Vanguardia we are committed to a circular economy model by eco-designing our packaging so that at the end of its useful life it can be recycled with proper management returning to the value chain.
To this end, we use three-layer technology, which allows us to work with materials in layers, offering a series of sustainable solutions to our customers, such as the incorporation of PCR material or the reduction of the thickness of our packaging while always maintaining the quality.
Additionally, all our containers are reusable/refillable, after a cleaning process, which allows us to extend their useful life.

CERTIFICATIONS THAT ACCREDIT US
Plásticos Vanguardia was the first company in Spain to obtain, in 2019, AENOR´s certificate for the use of post-consumer recycled plastic material, under the UNE-EN 15343:2008 standard. It aims to generate the least possible environmental impact while promoting the correct management of packaging at the end of its useful life.
We make use of renewable energies, greatly reducing the emissions generated in the manufacturing process of our packaging. In 2019, we went a step further in the commitment acquired to reduce them and registered our carbon footprint with the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO). Since 2020, we moved forward by offsetting our emissions with CO2 absorption projects, obtaining the CALCULATION AND COMPENSATION seal from the Spanish Ministry of Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO).
We joined the MORE platform project by voluntarily registering the amount of recycled material we use in our packaging, thus reiterating our commitment to the circular economy. This platform is in line with the measurement and control requirements of the Circular Plastics Alliance, an initiative of the European Commission, which aims to boost the European market for recycled plastics to 10 million tons by 2025.
Following our principles of transparency and continuous improvement, we certify through AENOR, in accordance with the ISO 14064 standard, the total greenhouse gas emissions we produce. Our objective is to quantify and monitor these emissions and their reductions, identifying actions that allow us to better manage them.

Our goal is to offer sustainable solutions that guarantee sustainable growth over time.
Through Grupo Armando Alvarez, we are part of the United Nations Global Compact, firmly committed to the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030. Additionally, we support the European Action Plan for Circular Economy and the Circular Plastics Alliance, with the aim of achieving the recyclability targets set for our sector. In addition to adopting sustainable manufacturing processes and eco-designing solutions adapted to the different challenges of the market, we actively collaborate in various initiatives of great social and environmental impact.
